Of late, I have been witnessing a very disturbing increase in the crime against females, be a girl child, a teenager, or an adult woman. It has almost become the order of the day. Newspapers are replete with such news. No doubt, India has been placed at parity with Afghanistan as the worst countries for a female to born in. Sometimes, I guess, had it been there in the past too but very less reported?.. or the mind set of the Indian male is becoming less human, devoid of any compassion and respect for the other gender, and is also becoming fearless of the Indian Law!
So, I fancied an idea to let the world know the dark side of "Being a Female in India."
Let there be the consciences shaken, people of all walks do some soul searching..take a pause and raise their voice, wherever they are, against the atrocities being meted out to girls and women, with a result that cruelity against the female gender starts receding, and we give to our generations to come a society where a woman is respected in its true essence-as as wife, as a sister, as a mother, as a grand mother et al..is the sole objective of this blog.
Amen.

Woman alleges fraud by husband Yagnesh Mehta, TNN | Jun 26, 2012, 09.25PM IST


SURAT: Sima Patel, a physiotherapist fromVesu area of Surat lodged a police complaint against her US returned husband of fraud in Women Police Station on Monday. Patel alleged that her husband kept his first marriage secret and harassed her during the four year married life.
Patel, married to Mayur, resident of Bardoli, in 2008. Mayur lives with his parents Baldev, father and Nirmala, mother near Astan railway crossing in Bardoli. After marriage Patel went to live with her in-laws. Soon after the marriage Mayur and in-laws started demanding money from Patel. Since Patel was working as physiotherapist she could fulfil demand of the family. She claimed in her complaint that she used to contribute a good amount in family expenditure earned through her profession. 

But the in-laws and her husband continued demanding more money from her. Meanwhile, Patel came to know about Mayur's past that he had stayed in US for around 15 years and got married to a woman. She claimed in her complaint that Mayur did not inform her that he had married in past when she tied knot with him. She also claimed in her compliant that Baldev and Nirmala are equally responsible in harassing her. 

Due to torture and constant demand for money she started living separate. Patel is staying separate during last eight months.
