Of late, I have been witnessing a very disturbing increase in the crime against females, be a girl child, a teenager, or an adult woman. It has almost become the order of the day. Newspapers are replete with such news. No doubt, India has been placed at parity with Afghanistan as the worst countries for a female to born in. Sometimes, I guess, had it been there in the past too but very less reported?.. or the mind set of the Indian male is becoming less human, devoid of any compassion and respect for the other gender, and is also becoming fearless of the Indian Law!
So, I fancied an idea to let the world know the dark side of "Being a Female in India."
Let there be the consciences shaken, people of all walks do some soul searching..take a pause and raise their voice, wherever they are, against the atrocities being meted out to girls and women, with a result that cruelity against the female gender starts receding, and we give to our generations to come a society where a woman is respected in its true essence-as as wife, as a sister, as a mother, as a grand mother et al..is the sole objective of this blog.
Amen.

Man kills 2 disabled daughters, ends life TNN | Jun 22, 2012, 11.05PM IST

SURAT: Unable to take care of his two mentally challenged daughters, a farmer killed them and later hanged himself to death in Manpur village of Vansada taluka in Navsari district on Thursday.
The farmer, Navin Chaudhary, murdered his daughters Neha (12) and Rita (17) at their house in Parsi Faliya and hanged himself using a nylon rope.
Chaudhary's wife Kanchan had committed suicide in April and he was left all alone to take care of his daughters. His son Vijay (22) is an alcoholic.
Chaudhary killed and hanged one of the daughters in the bedroom while another was killed and hanged in the drawing room.
Postmortem report revealed that all three died between 4.30 pm and 5 pm.
While questioning the relatives and neighbours, police found that Chaudhary was upset with illness of his two daughters, who were unable to do anything on their own and required 24-hour attention. Chaudhary had to stay home throughout the day to take care of them. He had not gone to work for three months after his wife's death.
Kanchan had hanged herself following disputes with her son. Under the influence of liquor, Vijay used to beat her often.
Police investigation revealed that after treatment in early age the family was not taking any medical help for the girls.
