Of late, I have been witnessing a very disturbing increase in the crime against females, be a girl child, a teenager, or an adult woman. It has almost become the order of the day. Newspapers are replete with such news. No doubt, India has been placed at parity with Afghanistan as the worst countries for a female to born in. Sometimes, I guess, had it been there in the past too but very less reported?.. or the mind set of the Indian male is becoming less human, devoid of any compassion and respect for the other gender, and is also becoming fearless of the Indian Law!
So, I fancied an idea to let the world know the dark side of "Being a Female in India."
Let there be the consciences shaken, people of all walks do some soul searching..take a pause and raise their voice, wherever they are, against the atrocities being meted out to girls and women, with a result that cruelity against the female gender starts receding, and we give to our generations to come a society where a woman is respected in its true essence-as as wife, as a sister, as a mother, as a grand mother et al..is the sole objective of this blog.
Amen.

Minor raped in Rasulabad near Surat TNN | Jun 20, 2012, 06.22AM IST

SURAT: A 17-year-old girl was raped by a 24-year-old married man with the help of a woman living in the former's neighbourhood at Rasulabad village of Olpad taluka in Surat on Monday.
The victim had gone to pay money for garment washing liquid purchased from Samim Mansuri, who lives alone in the village and runs grocery business from her house. Mansuri called the victim inside the house and when she went inside, the former pushed her in a room in the backside of her house and locked it from outside.
Accused Raes Hasan Mirza, who was already in the room, raped the victim even as she continued to shout for help. After some time, she was allowed to go home. However, Mirza threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone.
The victim informed her family members about the incident. A complaint was lodged at Olpad police station on Monday evening. Medical examination of the victim confirmed that she was raped. Police arrested Mirza, who is a mason and works at Sayan, on Tuesday. His wife is pregnant.
"The woman helped the accused to make some money. Mirza will be produced in court on Wednesday," said N S Chaudhary, police inspector, Olpad.

Blogger's view

Lets show no mercy to the accused and his accomplice. They should be parade nude in the locality they live for a month.
