Of late, I have been witnessing a very disturbing increase in the crime against females, be a girl child, a teenager, or an adult woman. It has almost become the order of the day. Newspapers are replete with such news. No doubt, India has been placed at parity with Afghanistan as the worst countries for a female to born in. Sometimes, I guess, had it been there in the past too but very less reported?.. or the mind set of the Indian male is becoming less human, devoid of any compassion and respect for the other gender, and is also becoming fearless of the Indian Law!
So, I fancied an idea to let the world know the dark side of "Being a Female in India."
Let there be the consciences shaken, people of all walks do some soul searching..take a pause and raise their voice, wherever they are, against the atrocities being meted out to girls and women, with a result that cruelity against the female gender starts receding, and we give to our generations to come a society where a woman is respected in its true essence-as as wife, as a sister, as a mother, as a grand mother et al..is the sole objective of this blog.

Techie sexually abuses girl for a month TNN | Jun 8, 2012, 08.19AM IST

Kakinada: A 13-year-old girl was being allegedly raped by a software engineer for the last one month. The bestial crime came to light here on Wednesday after the girl's uncle found the accused walking out of the victim's house atGandhi Nagar Elvinpeta in a hurry.

When confronted, techie Sivaranjan Kumar, 36, ran away. Suspecting foul play, the uncle talked to the girl, who spilled the beans.

The girl claimed that Kumar has been sexually abusing her for the last one month whenever her father was away. Sources said the accused befriended the girl's father six months ago and became close to the family. "Taking advantage of the father's absence, Kumar used to force himself on the girl. He even took nude photos of the girl and used to threaten her," a police official said.

He warned the girl of dire consequences if she revealed her 'torture' to anybody. "He also threatened the girl that he would post her nude pictures on the internet ," the official said. Following a complaint from the girl's uncle, the software engineer was taken into custody. A case has been registered .
